FFVM El Palenque Trout, Argentina |
|
The Corcovado River Is one of the most extraordinary rivers in Patagonia. It's born from the waters of Lago Vintner, a huge expanse of clear, pure, cold Andean water that spans the border of Argentina and Chile. Jeff Wells' Estancia El Palenque ranch runs along both sides of the Corcovado for 10 miles or so, enclosing a wide variety of fly fishing water from riffle/pool scenarios to cascading boulder water to long slow moving willow lined pools. The lodge is newly created modern open architecture, smoothly joined to the turn of the century ranch house. Add new cabins, a fine staff and experienced guides and you have a fly fishing experience about which you'll brag for years. Fly Tying... Jim Watt's unique and very effective Pancora Crab pattern.
